POSITION

Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT)
Washington, D.C.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Second, third, or fourth year students.
DATES POSITIONS
August - December 05; January - May 06; (part time, 15-20 hours).

ASSIGNMENTS:
Interns will work closely with professional staff in OPDAT’s Public Information and Liaison Section to
further its international visitors, publication and outreach programs to assist selected foreign justice sector
officials to help build and maintain viable criminal justice institutions for the purpose of fostering
democracy and promoting greater cooperation with the United States regarding transnational criminal
matters. Students who are interested in the Department’s overseas criminal law assistance activities and
who wish to help create more responsive and responsible publications and outreach programs are
encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative work environment, possesses
strong writing, communication and marketing skills, demonstrates proficiency dealing with Internet
computer technology, such as web-page development and management, and produces high quality
academic work, evidenced by a B/3.0 or better Grade Point Average.
